A muffin is a small baked good, usually served at breakfast. It consists of a bread that generally has other ingredients added to it such as fruits. Popular additions to muffins include blueberries, chocolate chips, nuts, seeds, lemon, cinnimon and pumpkin.

There are several variations of muffin. Some muffins are only made for the "muffin top" which is regarded as being more tasty than the bottom. Other muffins are made out of different ingredients such as corn meal. Corn muffins have a different texture than traditional muffins and are usually served as a side-dish with dinner.
