Instant noodles are a snack that is usually eaten as lunch or dinner. Originating in Japan, instant noodles are a quick way to have a hot meal. Usually called ramen, the noodles come in many different flavors such as chicken, pork, beef, chili, mushroom, vegetable, and shrimp. The flavors come in a flavor packet that is added after the noodles have been cooked. Because of the high sodium amounts in most dishes, instant noodles have become known as a junk food snack.
